Thank you for caring

   Cages

At this time we cannot take in anymore ferrets.
A precious animal lover, Carol Simeon,
was killed in a freak car accident on Hiway 18, Thursday, March 27th.
We took in her 14 ferrets as promised which filled the shelter to capacity.
Carol will be missed soooooo much.  She was my best friend and ferret mentor.

ALFRED'S  CORNER

Lil One
(Click on name to see pics)

Denise & Teri had an emergency rescue Saturday, April 22.  They were called to pick up a ferret found in a shoebox in a park in Seattle.

The lady that found him saw a human stop his red Subaru, open the door, reach out of the car, place a shoe box on the ground and drive away.  When she investigated the shoe box, she found one of my kind, a wounded ferret left for dead.

After my friends at the shelter picked Lil One up and took him to a vet, it was found that he had endured severe suffering, a tumor had actually exploded, leaving exposed cancerous skin leaving him in excruciating pain.

How long he was in such terrible pain,  they don't know.  But he has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge and will suffer no more.

I am so glad that there are humans like those here at the rescue/shelter that care about my kind and try at every opportunity to love us and make sure we don't hurt.

As for the humans in the red Subaru, maybe someday you will learn the meaning of caring....I hope.

If you can find it in your heart to love on one of my buddies that are sick  please send a donation.  It costs for medicine, vet visits and to go over the Rainbow Bridge.
Thank you.
